Key Personnel

Bruce C. Schwartz, MAI, is the President of BCS Valuations, Inc. Bruce founded BCS over 20 years ago with the vision of providing quality commercial and residential appraisal services. Bruce has a hands on management approach and is personally involved in the preparation and/or review of each and every appraisal report. Prior to the formation of BCS Valuations, Inc. Bruce Schwartz was employed by European American Bank (EAB) as an Assistant Vice President in the Real Estate Banking Division. While at EAB, Mr. Schwartz appraised income producing properties throughout the Tri-State region for the purpose of determining the collateral strength of proposed and existing loans. Mr. Schwartz began his career in 1985 as a staff appraiser for a New York based appraisal firm where he prepared residential and commercial appraisal reports on properties located throughout New York City. The majority of these appraisals were prepared for major financial institutions for mortgage lending purposes.  Bruce Schwartz holds the prestigious MAI Designation of the Appraisal Institute and is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the States of New York and New Jersey.

 

Brian McKeown, Senior Vice President, is responsible for the preparation of commercial property appraisals as well as for the review of appraisal reports written by other members of the BCS appraisal staff. Brian often handles the more complex assignments awarded to the firm and specializes in the Long Island and New York City markets. Prior to joining BCS Valuations, Inc., Brian was employed in the litigation support groups of Cushman and Wakefield and PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he was responsible for appraisal assignments of commercial properties both locally and on a national basis. Brian Mckeown has been in the appraisal industry for over 25 years and is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute and is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the State of New York.
